Download & Install App
Download “Shadowsocks” from the Google Play Store.
The APK file can be downloaded by logging into your account and navigating to “Support” → “Downloads” → “Android Apps”.
App Setup
Follow the steps below to load server information. Please ensure you are in an environment with internet access.
1. After downloading the app, log in to your account from the device and select the relevant service under ‘Active Services’
2. Tap the Shadowsocks URL to copy it
3. Open the app and tap “Subscriptions” from the menu icon in the upper left corner
4. Tap the plus button in the upper right corner
5. Paste the copied URL and select “OK”
6. Tap the cloud icon in the upper right corner to load the server information
How to Use App
Switch ON/OFF
Return to the profile (home screen), select the server and tap the airplane icon. “Connection request” prompt appears, select “OK” to complete the connection. Use the airplane icon to turn on and off.
Switching Proxy Rules
Shadowsocks allows you to change connection rules for each server.
1. Tap the cloud icon to the right of the server for which you want to change the rules
2. Scroll down and select the connection rule from “Proxy Mode”
Update Server Information
Tap the menu bar on the upper left → “Subscriptions” → cloud icon to update the server information.
Note
- Server information (including Subscription URL) is a private information. For secure usage, be careful not to upload it on SNS (WeChat, QQ, etc.) or share it with unauthorized third parties.
- Contact the developer of a third-party app if there is a problem with it. UCSS shall not be liable for any use of app not developed by UCSS.
- The local situation in China is under monitoring in real time and UCSS keeps the server information up to date. Check the latest notice at UCSS official Twitter.
